Examining Sargent: Painting the Clothed Figure
Level: Beginner, Intermediate
Time: Mondays from 18:00 – 20:00
Maximum Number of Participants: 10
Schedule:
- 8 Lessons
- 16 learning hours; 2 hours per lesson
- All dates: October 13, 27, November 3, 10, 17, 24, December 1, 15
Total Cost: €366
*Note: there was error in the initial publication of the coures. The total number of lessons is 8 instead of 9; therefore the cost is less.
Payment:
- A non-refundable registration fee of €106 is due at the time of registration
- A second payment of €130 is due on the day of the first lesson, October 13th
- The third and final payment of €130 is due on November 3rd

Lesson 1: Introduction and preparation of materials
Lesson 2: Demo on drawing with pencil
Lesson 3: Drawing continued
Lesson 4: Squaring up the figure… blocking in / dead colors
Lesson 5: Skin tones
Lesson 6: Fabric and texture
Lesson 7: Unity vs. Variety
Lesson 8: Hierarchy / Finishing
Model fee included
Materials: A glass palette and painting medium is provided. Paints are also included in the price and I strongly recommend you use them (they are Michael Harding paints, the same brand I use for my own painting). However, if you have your own paint, you may deduct €30 from the final payment.
Students are responsible for buying their own brushes and canvas, which can easily be done in the art shop located above the PADASOR studio.
Terms and Conditions:
- The deposit is non-refundable.
- There is no reimbursement for absences, nor make-up lessons.

- Un pagamento di €130 è dovuto il giorno della prima lezione, 13 ottobre.
- Il saldo di €130 è dovuto la lezione dell’3 novembre.

Materiali:
Una tavolozza e diluente sono inclusi. Anche inclusi sono i colori di Michael Harding (che sono i colori che uso io). Se volessi usare i tuoi colori, puoi sottrarre €30 dal saldo.
Gli studenti devono acquistare la tela e i pennelli, facilmente reperibili presso il negozio di belle arti situato sopra lo studio di PADASOR.
