The Portrait from Life: Examining Titian

Level: Beginner, Intermediate

Time: Saturdays from 16:00 – 19:00

Maximum Number of Participants: 10

Schedule:

• 8 Lessons
• 24 learning hours; 3 hours per lesson
• All dates: Jan. 31, Feb. 7, 14, 21, 28, March 7, 14, 21

Total Cost: €500

Payment:

• A non-refundable registration fee of €150 is due at the time of registration
• A second payment of €200 is due on the day of the first lesson, January 31st
• The third and final payment of €150 is due on February 28th

Curriculum:

Lesson 1: Introduction and preparation of materials and Demo on drawing on cavnas with charcoal
Lesson 2: Drawing continued
Lesson 3: The block in with the earth palette
Lesson 4: Drawing and developing form with paint
Lesson 5: Day without the model: background
Lesson 6: Scumbles and Glazes
Lesson 7: Hair and cloth
Lesson 8: Refinements & Finishing

Model fee included

Materials: A palette and painting medium is provided.  Paints are also included in the price and I strongly recommend you use them (they are Michael Harding paints, the same brand I use for my own painting).  However, if you have your own paint, oil and palette, you may deduct €50 from the final payment.

Students are responsible for buying their own brushes and canvas, which can easily be done in the art shop located above the PADASOR studio.

Terms and Conditions:

• There is no reimbursement for absences, nor make-up lessons.
• The payment plan is intended to make participation easier.  However, should you decide to exit the course prior to compleition, the total sum is still due.

Pagamento:

• Un deposito non rimborsabile di €150 è dovuto al momento dell’iscrizione.
• Un pagamento di €200 è dovuto il giorno della prima lezione, 31 gennaio.
• Il saldo di €150 è dovuto la lezione il 28 febbraio.

Lezione 1: Introduzione e preparazione dei materiali & Dimostrazione del disegno su tela con il carboncino
Lezione 2: Disegno – continuazione
Lezione 3: Impostazione dei volumi con la tavolozza a terre
Lezione 4: Disegno e sviluppo della forma con il colore
Lezione 5: Giornata senza modello: sfondo
Lezione 6: Velature e scumbling
Lezione 7: Capelli e tessuti
Lezione 8: Rifiniture e Finitura

Materiali: Una tavolozza e diluente sono inclusi.  Anche inclusi sono i colori di Michael Harding (che sono i colori che uso io).  Se volessi usare i tuoi colori, tavalozza e olio, puoi sottrarre €50 dal saldo.

Gli studenti devono acquistare la tela e i pennelli, facilmente reperibili presso il negozio di belle arti situato sopra lo studio di PADASOR.

• Eventuali lezioni perse non possono essere rimborsate né recuperate.
• Il pagamento rateale è pensato per agevolare la partecipazione. Tuttavia, qualora si decidesse di ritirarsi dal corso prima del completamento, l’importo totale resta comunque dovuto.
